The best of French and American beer styles rolled into one! Biere de Garde is a classic French style featuring that flavor from the yeast that one can only describe as... Well... Je ne sais quoi. Mix that with as many Maine-grown grains as we can find and you're onto something. A small amount of applewood smoked malt from the team at Blue Ox Malthouse adds a subtle smokey note to wrap it all up and tie it in a bow. Fancy enough to snob over, but meant for people who know the meaning of "the hard way."

Color: 16.5 SRM (Dark Amber). IBU: 24. ABV: 7.0%.
Extract kits include liquid and/or dry malt extract, plus crushed specialty grains with a grain sock to steep. Partial mash kits include malt extract, plus a larger amount of crushed base malt and specialty grains with a grain sock, and require extra steeping time. All-grain kits include crushed base malt and specialty grains, and require advanced technique and equipment.
