Mozzarella & Ricotta Cheesemaking Kit
Make your own fresh and tasty mozzarella and ricotta cheese in about 30 minutes! You can make cheese in the same amount of time it takes to watch an episode of "Judge Judy"! And there's enough ingredients in here to make 20 batches of cheese!
This cheese kit from Ricki's includes ingredients to make 20 batches of mozzarella or ricotta cheese. Use cow's milk or goat's milk, or even powdered milk. (Raw milk or pasteurized milk may be used, but try to avoid ultra-pasteurized milk.) One batch of cheese requires one gallon of milk, and takes roughly 30 minutes (plus clean-up).
Contents of kit include: Dairy Thermometer, 1yd reusable Butter Muslin, Citric Acid, Vegetable Rennet Tablets, Cheese Salt, and and Recipe Booklet. Kit will store at room temperature for up to a year, and rennet tablets will last even longer if kept in the freezer. Once opened, store citric acid and cheese salt in well-sealed containers in a cool, dry place, where they will last indefinitely.
